I've joined a group of knitters, knitting cat beds for Petfinder.com. In an effort to find homes for Senior cats, who have a hard time finding homes, Wendy started a group over at YahooGroups for knitters who would like to knit a cat bed to send home with a Senior cat who is adopted. Most people want to adopt kittens or young cats and don't think about adopting a Senior cat. If you are a knitter who would like to join us, please go over to Kitty Bed Knit-a-long and sign up. We are trying to get as many done as possible by the beginning of November. If you aren't a knitter, a crocheted bed would probably be accepted as well. And if you aren't talented in the knit or crochet crafts, I'm sure they wouldn't turn down a donation of any kind. Better yet........why not consider adopting a Senior kitty.
