Here are my kitty scrapbook pages for Dusty...pink, as befitting a kitty who says she is *dainty and feminine*.

I used papers, cardstock, and rubber stamps from both Close To My Heart and Michaels.

Mitty's Pages!

click on image for much larger version

I've decided to put the wedding book aside for a while, until I collect more stamps and other supplies, and start my kitty scrapbook. The plan is to have two facing pages featuring my favorite pictures of each kitty. I have eight kitties, and I also plan to make pages for the late Mister Bill, who left us nearly two years ago.

I scanned in the two pages and pieced them together as they would look in the scrapbook, The yellow on the edge is from the scanner, and it's not on the actual pages.

The gingham print paper and the pawprint rubber stamp are from Close To My Heart, and the small kitty face stamp came from Jo-Ann Fabrics & Crafts. I also want to add that the pawprint stamp is part of a set called "Meow!", other stamps from which you'll be seeing here as well!

Each kitty will have his/her own individual page design. Look for more soon!

My First Card!

Here is the outside...

...and this is what's inside!

This is a combination of collage and rubber stamping, all mounted on white cardstock, as you can see. The text was made on the computer and printed out on cardstock, and the photo of Mitty was printed on glossy photo paper. All the other kitty images are rubber stamps...the "Meow!" and the large kitty inside were colored in with chalk.

Please don't laugh too much at my first (presentable) card-making effort! :-)

More Joy of Sox

These are socks I made for my daughter. They were knit with Opal sock yarn, Inspiration, color number 5025. I knit them toe up, using Queen Kahuna's Crazy Toes & Heels method, using a pattern idea suggested by Marguerite. I'm not real happy with the way the cuff came out, but I'm hoping they will look better after my daughter washes them. C's sock cuff2.JPG
Here is a close up of the cuff pattern.

The Joy of Sox

I've been busily knitting my fingers to the bone lately. Here are some socks I knit for Christine. That is her Mitty the Kitty there in the background, undoubtedly, sniffing out my kitties. They are made with Twinkletoes yarn, colorway Coral Reef, that I bought on eBay. I wish I had scanned a close up of the socks before sending them, because you can't really see in this picture, but the pattern has little cat paws in it.

Wedding Scrapbook, Part Deux...

Here is the *ceremony* part of my wedding scrapbook. To see a larger version, please click on the image. This will open a new browser window.

Since I have papers in so many colors, each section of this scrapbook will have a different color scheme. Since this was a *destination wedding/honeymoon*, there will be more pages of pictures of places we went to on this trip. So when you turn the page after the ceremony, you'll see a new design and color scheme on the next set of facing pages.

But not now. That will be coming VERY soon, though! :-)

My Very First Scrapbook Page

This was made using Close To my Heart® papers, glues and markers. It is the first page of my wedding album project.

What you see here is a picture of Mike and me with Dan Duffy, our officiant, who also is the innkeeper of the Homestead Inn. A picture of the house is shown here as well. The page layout is completed with one of our wedding announcements. We eloped so we didn't have invitations, but we did send out announcements.

Hey...this is my first effort! Mike loves the way it looks...much better than that cheapo supermarket *magnetic* album. So please don't laugh at me too much, okay??? >^..^<

I have many more pictures for this album, so look for them here soon!
